Yearly screenings are the quickest and most effective way to detect glaucoma. It is essential in order to better your chances of detecting glaucoma and knowing how to prevent any further blindness from occurring.
Providing knowledge of eye health issues to the public is important to our cause. Projects, such as our walk-in eye model, will help educate children and adults alike on the inner workings of the eye.
One half of the glaucoma population are not aware that they have the disease. As time goes by, glaucoma progressively narrows your field of vision. It is vital to educate and screen as many people as possible so that they may seek immediate treatment in order to reduce the possibility of blindness from glaucoma.
You can help the efforts of our mission. Encourage family and friends to have their eye pressure checked. Try to create awareness of any family history of glaucoma. Schedule a screening and presentation with your organization or church. Volunteer to help with a screening or make a donation today!
